Why I Chose Board Certification
When the idea of a national standard for trial lawyers was first discussed back in the 1970's, I thought that it was a very worthwhile idea.
For many years, doctors had board certification recognition and specialization based upon a qualified candidate passing national testing.
When NBTA first came into existence, I saw it as an expression of my commitment to civil trial practice and a commitment to excellence to qualify for and then sit for the examination. I was very happy to have passed the examination and to have become a board certified trial lawyer .
From its inception, NBTA stood out as a symbol of excellence for lawyers throughout the United States.
Not uncommonly today, sophisticated consumers shop for a lawyer and it certainly makes a difference when you explain that you are board certified and what board certification means.
